Justin Hoffman will be making the move this season from the 305 Sprint Series to the 360 United Racing Club Sprint Series. No stranger to racing, Hoffman has been running a DIRT Sportsman and a 305 Sprint for a number of years. "Then we got news that the URC Club was forming again. We like the format of club racing like we had been doing with TSRS in the 305. In talking with a few of the people helping to form the Club, we liked the direction it seems to be heading so we decided to try and follow URC."
Hoffman knows that there will be a steep learning curve in his first year moving up to 360's considering he hasn't even been to some of the tracks that are on the Club's schedule, not to mention making the change from American Racers to the Hoosier tires that that Club uses. Despite the inevitable learning curve, Justin has a solid plan for success in his rookie season. "If we can qualify for the A mains and get some good laps recorded, hopefully good finishes will follow."
With moving to a new division, Hoffman isn’t waiting around until the April 12th URC opener at Bridgeport Speedway to get started. Instead, Justin is diving right in, racing names like Loyet, Lasoski, McCarl, Swindell and Hagar at the Ronald Laney Memorial ASCS National Races at East Bay Raceway on February 19, 20, and 21. "I know there’s going to be a tough field of cars; some of the best in the country will be there. So we are just going to focus on trying to qualify. If we are able to do that it would be a huge accomplishment for us."
After East Bay, look for Hoffman to follow the entire United Racing Club schedule beginning April 12th at Bridgeport Speedway.
