Just 4 Days Until Sunday April 10th’s United Racing Club’s 69th Season Opener.
Sunday’s United Racing Club Opener will be a B&B kind of day, that’s blankets and Bridgeport Speedway. Although Sunday’s forecast is scheduled to only get into the middle to upper 40’s, the racing at Bridgeport Speedway will be as hot as the summer months. With a large field expected for the opener, look for many challengers to battle it out with reigning and 9 time URC champion Curt Michael.
Expected to be on hand will be the defending URC champion in the 5G Bill Gallagher owed Curt Michael, 89 Quality Auto Body of Robbie Stillwaggon, 39 Tim Hogue owed and driven by Nate Snyder, 747 Special owned by John Chemidlin and driven by Davey Sammons, 21 Scott McClaren owned and driven by Ed Aikin, 56 Fred Kennedy owned and driven by Randy West are just a few of the cars to be expected in the pit area on Sunday’s opening day.
From Bridgeport Speedway, URC will shift to a non-points race at Selinsgrove run in conjunction with the Empire Super Sprints. The next URC point’s race will be run when URC returns to the Hard Clay of Orange County Fair Speedway on Saturday April 23rd.
Sunday’s Race is being sponsored by Bob Lilick and BRB Contractors. Pit Gates open at noon with Warm Ups at 3 and Racing at 4pm. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Race Track this Sunday April 10th.
