First Double Weekend of 2016 on Tap for the United Racing Club
This will be the first weekend of back to back to nights for the United Racing Club and the 2016 season. On Friday night April 29th, the United Racing Club will travel to the famed ½ mile facility of Williams Grove Speedway. This will be the first of 5 visits to the historic track in 2016. In three visits last year, the fans were treated to some of the best 360 racing action around along with two different winn...ers in Curt Michael and Greg Hodnett.
On Saturday night the United Racing Club will head north to the ultra-fast Selinsgrove Speedway. This will be the 2nd time that the United Racing Club will visit Selinsgrove Speedway but the first time for points. The trip a few weeks ago was a non-points race, raced in conjunction with the Empire Super Sprints as well.
The Jack Gunn Memorial race has become a fixture on the URC schedule every year. Last year this race saw over 30 cars in the pit area with the win going to Mark Smith. Followed by Mark Smith was Robbie Stillwaggon and 410 regular Aaron Ott.
This points standings after two races are lead by 2014 URC Champion Davie Franek. Followed by Franek are 9 time and Defending URC Champion Curt Michael and 2012 URC Champion Robbie Stillwaggon.
The United Racing Club will then travel to the First State the first weekend in May. On Saturday night May 7th, the United Racing Club will head to Delaware International Speedway for the first time this year.
