United Racing Club Returns to Action This Saturday Night
The United Racing Club returns to action this Saturday night July 16th at the Delaware International Speedway. This will be first visit to the ½ mile facility located in Delmar DE this year. Delaware International Speedway has been a consistent stop for the 360 sprint car series for a number of years. Last year in the only visit by the Club, home state driver Curt Michael picked up the win followed by URC rookie of the year Tyler Ross and URC front runner Josh Weller bringing home 3rd.
This year Davie “No Panic” Franek has lead the points since the first race of the year and carries a 43 point advantage over 2nd place Robbie Stillwaggon going into race #14 of the season on Saturday night. Both Franek and Stillwaggon along with all the other stars and cars will be in attendance Saturday night.
Just announced, Fred Kennedy has filled the vacant seat of the #56 with Delaware native Chris Coyle. Coyle who last raced a few years ago will be making a return to the driver’s seat in both the upcoming Delaware races (July 16th at Delaware International and July 22nd at Georgetown Speedway).
Saturday night gates open at 5pm and cars will hit the track at 6:30pm. Admission is $20 for spectators and $25 for pit area. Children 13 and under are free on the spectator side with a paying adult.
