MINERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA (June 22nd, 2018)-
Josh Weller found himself back on the podium last night at Big Diamond Speedway. Weller, who hails from Mertztown, Pennsylvania started outside pole with Chandler Leiby on his inside.
Weller went out to the early lead on lap one, but Leiby was close behind applying pressure. Weller kept his cool and hit his marks every lap, even through lap traffic. The 63 could make it work on the top, bottom, or middle of the heavy dark clay surface.
Troy Betts was also an impressive runner going from 13th starting position to a 7th place finish. Eddie Strada, who started 8th, wa going for a pass for 4th when mud blew through his mud cover, ending his run. Robbie Stillwaggon proved the surface a racey one, going from 7th to 4th seamlessly.
The Capitol Renegade United Racing Club will make their next appearance at Port Royal Speedway on July 4th durining PA Speedweek alongside the 410 Sprint Cars.
