Mark's family has owned and operated Bitner Automotive for 55 years. Mark, together with his father, Fred Bitner, have been building racing engines and providing set-up and trackside consultations to local race teams since 1968. They are commited to providing quality service and optimizing performance applications with the latest technologies and superior products. This unwavering dedication is evidenced through several generations of loyal customers.
Mark's racing career started when he was just 13 yrs old driving World Karting Association go-karts and has progressed to include: Micro-Sprints, Micro-Stocks, Legend Cars, Small and Big Block Modifieds, Asphalt Street Stocks, Outlaw Ice Quads, Out-Law Street Class Drag Racing, TQ Midgets, Limited, 305, 358, 360 and 410 Winged Sprints and USAC Wingless Sprints.
Mark has enjoyed success in every division he has raced. You can always expect to see him in the top ten in overall points standings for the year. He achieves this with consistent top five and top ten finishes each week he races. Mark is also a fan favorite. Known to those fans as "Mr. Twister" Mark appreciates all of their support and has been named Most Popular Driver at New Egypt Speedway, his "home" track. And because they are a "leave no stone unturned" crew, Mark's cars are renowned for their appearance and have won several Best Appearing Car awards at various trade shows. A trait that his sponsors have always enjoyed. Mark, together with his crew, are extremely dedicated to maintaining their consistency and strive to acheive this even when the racing schedule has them traveling 2-3 nights a week to races.
Mark's crew also has no shortage of racing experience and knowledge. His crew chief, Roger Grover, has over 30 years of racing experience as a mechanic, crew member, car owner and currently crew chief. Roger's knowledge of set-ups and understanding of the true mechanics and responses of the car are second to none. And he is the most honest and loyal person you will ever have the priviledge to meet.
